Kris graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. He then attended the University of Alabama: School of Law, where he was first introduced to bankruptcy law, graduating in 2002. During law school, he clerked for the Honorable Judge Coogler, who was then a presiding state court judge and is now a Federal District Judge in Alabama.
After law school, Kris further honed his expertise in bankruptcy services by clerking for the Honorable Judge Briskman, the Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida. He was subsequently selected for the United States Justice Department's Honors Program, where he worked with the United States Trustee's office in Columbus, Ohio.
In 2008, Kris moved to Miami and has spent the past fourteen years working with debtors, creditors, trustees, and assignees throughout Florida and across the country, focusing on a wide variety of bankruptcy, receivership, and assignee matters. As an experienced attorney, Kristopher Aungst is dedicated to providing effective bankruptcy law solutions.
